Division of Comparative Medicine

The Division of Comparative Medicine (DCM) is another key resource to investigators at GUMC. The DCM is the centralized, accredited campus wide laboratory animal facility service unit for Georgetown University. The University is dedicated to the humane care and use of animals and embraces the standards set forth by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, and the principles and practices of the veterinary profession. Georgetown University has been AAALAC accredited since 1979, has an approved PHS Animal Welfare Assurance and is registered with the USDA.
