Shared Resources Clinical Research Services Center Expansion
Posted in Announcement
I am pleased to share with you the expansion of the Shared Resources Clinical Research Services Center at Georgetown University, formally called the Clinical Research Coordinator Pool. The Shared Resources Clinical Research Services has been providing services to our PIs and physicians at Georgetown University Medical Center for a number of years. The Shared Resources Clinical Research Services was established to support the conduct of clinical trials for Georgetown University and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and physicians at different departments, specifically with clinical research coordinator support. Now under the management of Navid Saeidi, the Shared Resources Clinical Research Services can provide regulatory support, data management, and CRC services to aide in the implementation of your clinical trials.
Specific services provided include assistance with the study initiation process, IRB submission, regulatory and patient document management, data entry, assistance with participant recruitment, study conduct, and study close out. Starting July 1, 2019, a reasonable hourly fee will be charged for services provided. The fee includes efforts for hiring, training, and oversight of highly qualified clinical research staff. CRC coverage during sick/vacation time and ongoing compliance with regulatory mandates will be managed by Shared Resources Clinical Research Services Manager. An estimated cost of services will be developed after consultation with PI.
If you are interested in learning more about the services please contact Navid Saeidi at NS1175@georgetown.edu (new window). Investigators requesting services from the Clinical Research Services Shared Resources must submit a request for consultation to the CRC manager at CRCpool@georgetown.edu (new window) and NS1175@georgetown.edu (new window). Attached you will find the Clinical Research Services Policy and the Shared Resources Clinical Research Services Memo. A hard copy of these documents will be available to you during the first consultation with the manager.
