GU-PASS New External Grant Requests

Posted in Announcement

GU-PASS is Georgetown’s new research and regulatory compliance system that is being used for financial conflict of interest submissions and will soon handle requests for external proposal review and approval, clinical trial agreement negotiation, sub-award negotiation and internal proposal review. GU-PASS will replace the Intellect set of systems most users know as TRACS, PACTS and STARS.  A few days ago, we announced the launch of the clinical trial contracts request module.

I am happy to announce the launch of a new GU-Pass module to route new external grant requests. This system will replace TRACS, and will now be used for the internal routing of all grant and contract proposals within the Medical Center.
The GU-Pass External Grant Requests module is similar to the routing in TRACS. A member of the Research Development Services team will initiate the proposal for PIs in the system, which will then be routed for PI review/approval and submission of their Study Specific Disclosure Form (SSDF). This system will also route SSDFs to personnel who are listed as key personnel in the proposal.

Please review this video, which shows PIs how to log into the system to approve their proposal. Additional information is also detailed in this summary document and can be found on the RDS website. In addition to these training materials, RDS is also hosting the following one hour face-to-face training sessions over the upcoming weeks:

Medical-Dental Building, Room SW107 on Tuesday, June 6th at 11am-12pm
St. Mary’s Hall, Room 201 on Thursday, June 8th at 11am-12pm
Harris Building, Room 4300 on Thursday, June 15th at 2pm-3pm
