Limited Submission

The Dr. Scholl Foundation is dedicated to providing financial assistance to organizations committed to improving our world. Solutions to the problems of today’s world still lie in the values of innovation, practicality, hard work and compassion. Awards are made in the following areas: Education, Social Service, Healthcare, Civic and Cultural, and Environmental.

In general, the Foundation guidelines are broad to give flexibility in providing grants. Historically, they have provided Georgetown funding in healthcare service.

Varies; average is up to $25,000

Timeline

  • Internal Deadline: February 19, 2020
  • External Deadline (if nominated): March 1, 2020

Selection Criteria

Address these to be Competitive

Over the past decade, approximately 28% of Dr. Scholl Foundation’s grants have been related to education, 28% to social services, 22% to hospitals and healthcare, 17% to civic and cultural with the remaining percentage spread out across other categories, including environmental.

Submission Information

Send the following as a single PDF document to Meaghan Lancaster (mkl86@georgetown.edu)  

  1. 1-page proposal with a rationale for why you should be nominated and how your proposed research/project advances your long-term vision and goals. You should outline your historical, current, and future commitments and should consider the aforementioned “Selection Criteria to be Competitive”.
  2. Abbreviated CV or NIH-style biosketch
